My creepy Schwans man....am I just overreacting?

That is scary situation. I like in KY and this state is the biggest for meth issues. My biggest problem is, I am always TOO scared! I'm young and worry constantly. If I'm setting in the car at a gas station waiting for my mom to pay and someone even looks at me for a few seconds to long, I lock the door and grab her cell phone.

Another instance: Just the other day we took a bed frame to a family who had just moved here. (they bought it from an add in the paper.) It was a black family and the woman was really professional and nice. While she and my mom were packing in the pieces, her boyfriend pulled up in a beat up old van with peeling paint all over it. He got out and came straight at the truck. Something about him TOTALLY freaked me out. I had hair standing up on the back of my neck and just wanted to run.

I am scared of anything and everything, so I think I might actually be a danger with a gun.

Nice-lookin' gun!

Sorry you felt it necessary to get it given the circumstances, but...at least you have it. DH has a glock and I've yet to shoot it

I'm scared to LOL! Something about rapid fire just scares me - so just seeing that piece will definately scare anyone and as Reimbeau said - hearing it engage - even worse!

Hope that guy stays away...*shivers* still gives me the woolies thinking about it.

Honestly, shooting is one of my first loves, so I look forward to taking it out back and getting used to it.

I have shot 9mm's just never owned one. I have only previously owned what I consider girl guns. A 22 and a 25. I think I am gonna like this one though.

You're going to want a .45 for that bear, those 9MMs will just make them angry

Seriously, nice piece, we have a Ruger P89, it's not my favorite shooter, though, it's rather harsh on my hand. I prefer my Glock 23's and absolutely love my S&W 1911. The P89 is kinda heavy, yours looks smaller and lighter. They have a reputation for being extremely reliable and always going 'bang' when you pull the trigger.

I originally planned on a 45. However, my husband kept suggesting a 9mm and then the guy at the store did too, so I broke down and pleased the men.

It was actually funny.....when I started looking he asked what I was looking for....."you looking for a little 22 or 25 today?" I informed him I already HAVE those I want something meaner.

I have this strange tendency to look almost "girly" sometimes and it bugs me. I am pretty soft spoken with a light southern accent and it harms my reputation I believe.

Sorry...can't relate. If I went to a gun store they would offer me an anti-tank gun...LOL

OH MY!!!! I didn't see that! Will have to look for it. Most of our bears (black bears of course) are pretty small. I like having them around, just don't want one trying to join us indoors.

LOL that's funny, wifezilla. Sometimes I wish people looked at me and thought I was more "capable" so that would be a good thing.

I have taken care of myself most of my life and my kids (alone) a good portion of theirs but people still think I am soft.
