I'm not encouraging anything like that, I was trying to get pics w/her and the duck and she grabbed it in a flash as soon as I snapped the pics. I told her "No!". She doesn't bother our birds at all, is very gentle w/baby poultry, but she loves to chew up stuffed animals. She probably thought I was giving the stuffed toy to her. But I can trust her around little ducklings, she is very sweet.
I hope people aren't as upset by these pictures as they are of the dog pictures.
I'm involved with a dog and cat rescue organization. I love pit bulls. While they are incredibly strong, pits can be fantastic family pets. Their reputation depends on the training and responsibility of the owners/fosters. (I have small and medium sized dogs. They go crazy for stuffed animals, tearing them apart in minutes. Although 2 of them act scared to death of the babies, I wouldn't trust ANY of them ALONE with my babies!)
Gizmo, the Cayuga x Khaki Campbell-Cayuga mix duckling, and Sebastian, the Sebastopol gosling, love their duck Googles. Sebastian likes to chew on its "fur," dragging it around the room. Gizmo likes to peck at it and sleep next to it.
