My duck was panting even after I took him away from the heat lamp

I just got two ducks and one of them has been sleeping with his mouth open and breathing heavy and he’ll be far away from the heat lamp but today he started panting really heavy and he had his mouth fully open so I took him away from the heat lamp completely and that didn’t help at all.

I just started it at 85 degrees yesterday and I leave a cold spot it’s pretty big for 2 ducks so they can move if there too hot and yeah

I'd go for 80* What breed? Pekins overheat easily as long as they aren't in a draft.

Any other symptoms like discharge from eyes or nares. rattling when breathing.?
