My ducklings are losing patches of feathers?

I'm a first time duckling owner. My husband and I purchased 4 "newborn" ducklings a week ago. Two are losing patches of feathers, we noticed this during their first swim. I saw they start molting at 10 weeks. These are supposed to be two weeks. Help?

After the ducklings dried off, we saw that they still have a thin layer of down feathers left. Whew! Still, is this normal?

Did you ever figure out what was going on? Mine are going though the same thing.

I think they were molting their fuzz, and getting their feathers in.

Also, when they were wet it seemed to look a lot worse than when they were dry.
