Yesterday (friday) in the late afternoon it started to snow! Unfortunately I wasn't home to experience the ducks first snow with them.
Today after my Dad and I got back from deer hunting I let my ducks out of the coop. And they all came out like normal, then they saw the snow. And most of them quickly sat down, or went back in the coop!
They are hiding in their coop right now.[IMG]

Here are some pictures! I will post more later.[IMG]

Lucky you, getting snow. Here we've got cold. Just cold, no snow[IMG]

    They are very pretty ducks

They look gorgeous in the snow! If you lay out a old blanket in the pen their feet will stay warmer. [IMG]

Awesome pictures........Do not use a blanket.....Use straw in spots for them....They will cuddle up and warm their toes.....The snow is not an issue...Ducks pull up their feet and warm them up in their down....The straw is for them to stand on....

    Enjoy those Winter Ducks!!!

    Cheers!!!

Straw would work better, except for when you are getting lots of new snow every day. [IMG]

Sorry, I only replied for what works in my Canadian winters....Whip off the snow and fluff the straw.......Pooping all over a frozen blanket does not sound like fun....

    Cheers!

Haha, it's not! [IMG] Does the straw fluff up pretty well?
