My Ducks NEED to Start Laying! And Soon!

12 days until I need to start collecting eggs and still not one single egg! Have yours started laying yet? It's been a very warm winter this year and I'm surprised they haven't started yet.

Mine won't start up until late February or early March

My Welshies started laying in October and are still laying as of today. My mallards that I used to have also laid year round. (Not every single day, but close to it.)

They are indoors in a pen with a night coop for protection. I spoil them rotten with peas.

do they sleep inside a pen at night if so put up a light on a timer to turn on about 3-4 in the morn egg laying is normally a result of longer days not warmer weather

My Cayugas stopped for the winter but I got an egg from my Welsh Harlequin and Khaki Campbell most days throughout the winter.

Mine have never really stopped.. i have some really determined layers here lol .. i think the longest i have gone without eggs is about a week? and that is since May...

I am averaging 2 eggs a day... and have been for weeks now...

None of my ducks ever start laying until the very end of February or beginning of March, and they aren't in full swing to the point that I could collect eggs to sell until the middle of April.

Mine usually start in early feb late Jan but this is pushing it... Starting to go insane
