MY EE HEN WAS MOUNTING my other hen while she was drying to lay her eg

OK what was that all about? My EE hen was in the nest box and was what looked to me like trying to mount my other hen?? My GLW was cooing softly and making her nest
" just right" to lay her eggs in and the other one jumped up there and was all over her. picking at her head/neck and I saw her step up onto her back.. is this normal or do I have yet another roo in the making.. ????Bella, the GLW was having none of it... what gives??

sounds like a fight over the nest boxes to me. My chickens frequently have a traffic jam for the same nest box. Sometimes it can get heated!

I think that sometimes they get mad when another hen is in their nest
