My first attempt at hatching -day 22, Pics start Pg 3

I'm so excited that I can't even think about sleeping right now. It's going to be a long couple of days!!! These are mixed breed eggs so it will be like Christmas, no idea what I will get! I just wanted to do a test batch to try out my brand new bator so I collected eggs from my mixed barnyard flock. I candled the eggs at day 6 and found nearly all clearly developing. I haven't looked since so it will be a surprise on how many are going to hatch!

good luck with your hatch too! I know exactly what you mean, I'm so anxious to see chicks but so scared that I won't get any or there will be hatching problems and the little ones will die or, God forbid, have to be culled!!!

Good luck! I just had my first hatch 2 days ago. Out of 8 eggs set, 2 hatched. One was infertile, the others ? Anyway, I was happy that those 2 hatched!!!
