I believe they are 2 weeks old? any guesses on how old they really are 5 Ameraucanas and 1 Black Sex Link

another question you may be able to help with, seeing as how these are only around one week old. I ordered 15 other chicks from cackle hatchery that are supposed to arrive tomorrow and they will be exactly 3 days old. will I be able to mix these younger ones with my existing 6? I only have one heat lamp and I CAN buy another lamp but would prefer not to if I don't have to..

they might be ok together as long as the brooder is big enough and i would watch them to make sure the bigger ones dont trample the new ones and as far as the heat lamp goes buy them at Walmart its cheaper and you dont have to have the brooder light just the cheaper clamp light will work just as good and i use inside flood lights the 65watt kind

thank you so much! that helps a lot

They look very similar in age to mine and my babies are just about 11 days or so old :-) You have some very cute ones on your hands! I'm hoping to get an Ameracauna today! SO excited, wasn't planned. I was supposed to only stick with my three Australorp babies, but yeah, that's not gonna happen ;-)

the larger chicks have since been separated but the smaller ones are barred rock and buff orpington :]
my ameraucanas are getting huge! will post more recent pics later

its called chicken math no matter how many you have you can always rationalize a reason for more
