My first ducklings what sex? Muscovy

what age should i be able to tell gender with these guys ?

I sex them by size. Any duckling(s) which looks smaller than others would be a female and any duckling(s) that looks bigger than others would be a male

thanks, they kinda 3 days apart. The white one was absorbing yolk still i helped it a lot

At this point, it's really too young to tell unless they are vent sexed. Some males can be smaller and some females can be larger as ducklings.

By 4-6 weeks drakes are really growing and are much bigger than females. They are precious

Thanks ill be patient and enjoy them while young they are cute. they cry for me and want to sleep on my shoulder or under arm. Already eating slugs x naww

Be careful slugs are slimy and can cause choking if they eat too many. Maybe you don’t have them there as big as they are here my ducks ( Muscovy) won’t eat them

not sure what slugs you got but defientely wouldnt let them eat a tiger slug. i put a bowl of water near them after theyve eaten. Theyve been fine, the black stripped ate 5 in one day

i gotta do more gardening soon plant this or next seasons crop probably let them them watch feed them the grubs and few worms i find
