We got our first egg on 9/30 and haven't had another since! It didn't have a shell. Since then we have started our girls on layer feed and oyster shell. Did one of my neighbors crack an egg in our nesting boxes? I'm starting to wonder.....

Shell-less eggs, and other odd eggs like double yolks, funny shells etc, are pretty common in pullets starting to lay, they are just working the kinks out of their system as they are getting started and should straighten up in a little while. We often don't see the shell-less eggs especially since most chickens will eat them rather quickly.
