Well I've been here over a month and now...I can finally "talk chicken" with the rest of you! Yesterday I made the long drive to Danny's house to pick up my first 2 chicks...Silkies!!! [IMG]

I have a shipment from Ideal coming this week too...I'll post more pics then.

Finally....after waiting what seemed like a lifetime...our Ideal peeps came in [IMG] [IMG] We got our 10 pullets (5 different breeds)...and 15 Packing Peanuts!!!!

They all arrived alive and ready to eat/drink/poop....they're doing great!

Here's most of them...notice the 2 Silkies in the top right corner...hiding...and wondering what just happened to their nice, quiet, happy home [IMG]:

A few of my Packing Peanuts. I'm looking at other pics to figure out what they are:

Very cute. The chicks in the last picture look like Barred Rocks.

Quote:That's exactly what I was thinking! That's the first chick pic I looked up and they look exactly like that, as far as I can tell. Thanks!

I called my local feed store (Steinhausers) and they said I could bring the Packing Peanuts up there and they would find homes for them. [IMG] So I kept 5 and took 10 of them up there. They have my name and number to call me...
