Hi everybody!
I am so excited! Today is day 21 and I have 4 chicks and 3 pips out of 11eggs.
Here's the first pip that started at 1pm yesterday
Before we went to bed last night we had 5 pips and when I checked them at midnight none of them had made any progress.
So, I went back to bed thinking that they had pipped and died because I heard no peeping.
But I was awoken at 4am this morning by peeping!
I have to thank the folks on the forum that encouraged me on this hatch when after I accidently had the humidity at almost 80% for the first few days of incubation.
I know a lot of newbies like me are starting with a hovabator 1588 which has the temperature set already but make sure you get yourself a hygrometer and another thermometer. And if you have any questions like I did, please have the folks here at BYC help you.
There's a lot of knowledgeable people here to help.
