My first strange egg

    Fascinating (my husband, Mr. Squeamish, could barely even look at it). I think my Black Australorp laid this. She is having a difficult time laying eggs that are usable. But at least she laid this in the nest box and not on the roost board. There was a perfect little egg inside that I scrambled and fed to the girls.

    Was the pokey end sharp or pliable? I can see how chickens would hate laying these regularly, lol.

    It was fairly soft and pliable. I think laying this one would be easier than one of my Buffs that lays eggs with a lot of calcium bumps on them. Ouchy.
