I am a fire explorer. This is basicaly a volunteer firefighter who is under 18 and is learning. So today as i was leaving school my pager went off and said there was a structural fire 2 miles from my school. So the lights and siren came on but no one would move out of my way! This is my biggest pet peve! So i pulled a u turn and just went through the ditch. Anyway i got to the fire and got into my stuff. I have had all of my structural fire training so i went in with the first group. The structure was fully involved when we got there but we went in because there was suposed to be an 8 month old in a crib on the second floor. Well the baby was there but was not breathing when we got to it. We got her out and handed her off to ems who later informed us she WOULD BE FINE! i was the happiest to here that because i carried her out in my coat.
