Hey! Now that's a good idea except for the fact that we got kitty cats that like eating small birds....any other ideas for decorative stumps?

I usually cut them as close to the ground as I can get them then decorate with a fire ring. A few fires and 12 packs later stump is gone.

Now, that's just the kind of experienced opinion I was looking for!

They make great bases for a homemade chair or bench for your yard. Or you could get some mushroom spores and "infect" the stump and raise your own 'shrooms. Or you could cut it flat to the ground with your chainsaw, like most folks.
