Hey Guys, I have been saying I would do this forever! Some of these pics are showing my coop that DH built me. I hope you like my birds:) There is one picture of Lovey and Baby, my white silkies together sitting on couch. This was after hawk attack. You can see some of Baby's head feathers were missing. She was very precious to me but did not survive. I appreciate so much all of your support you gave me. I thought you might want to see what she looked like. Also, there are other older pics of when she was healthy I think. Chat later, Julie

Hey the red roo,,,I think you are talking about is a silkie rooster partridge I believe. The only really red bird I have is a RIR and she's hen

Cynthia, we have 20 birds right now 15 hens, 5 roosters. BUT I just hatched 2 silkie buff chicks,,,don't know what they are yet,,,,and I just bought 2 more silkie hens being shipped to me tomorrow! I can't wait to get them! One is a 6 month old splash silkie and the other is a white silkie. It is a lot of nesting boxes. We just decided to use the back of the little barn to put nesting boxes on the back wall. They move from box to box and they use all of them including underneath on the floor in the corners. They like to lay eggs there too. It's on a concrete slab and it's sealed. Anyways,,,I think some of my birds aren't in the pictures. A lot of the breeds, I have 2 of with the hens. I bought 2 each last year.

The silvery looking silkie roo,,,I don't know what color to call him. He was my sons favorite and my son named him Rorieha for some reason before we knew he was a boy. We just kept the name and him. His comb is SOOO the wrong color!!! Have you ever seen such a bright red comb on a silkie??!! Oh well, we love him anyways. Now the partridge silkie rooster has a nicely colored comb. I just love the colors of his feathers too but he isn't quite as stout as Roreiha. All my roosters are so sweet and so good to the hens. I ended up keeping way more than I needed but I just couldn't part with them. I love all my birds very much. Julie

JohnnyJack, I hate to tell you this but my white frizzle had a brother who was identical to him. I let the other one go for free to this lady who's frizzle roo had died here locally. Anyways,,,if I ever have another frizzle roo like him, I will let you know. I used to think he was so cool looking and that's why I liked him. Now, I have a whole new appreciation to him. He seems to be the smartest and bravest rooster I have. He escorts the ladies from the barn to the patio when the call. He will go running to get them. He also will never leave a hen in the woods alone. Never. He is also very good at sharing anything juicy-bug he finds with the ladies. At the end of the day, he will round all the hens up and chase them to go into the barn. He herds them like a dog does to sheep. He is shorter than the other roosters but man he thinks he is all that and a bag of chips. He is so confident. He also does the sideways tapping rooster dance a lot to the hens which is always funny of course.

I'm glad you like him and I will keep you in mind. I'm actually buying a frizzle hen soon at a poultry show so I will maybe get the two of them together this spring and send you either some eggs or some chicks if you like.
