I recently began taking care of a few small flocks of chickens. Of course I document my misadventures. Recently my friends have been telling me,
"Hannah, you dote on those chickens too much."
"They aren't like dogs, you know."
"How can you get so attached?
"You need a new hobby"

My reply is, "Sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of my AfroJackie being so dang cuddly."

Chicken lady fo' life!

Yall are awesome! I was just so excited I finally got through to her... her owner passed and I took over. It took a while for her to warm up to me, but now she is my best bud!

If your friends are down on you having spoiled chickens. Tell them you have a new hobby, you're going to raise Emus. Make sure they know what Emus are like. Then they'll tell you the chickens were a great idea.
