I'm so excited my girls began laying today.... But she ignores her comfy boxes I made, and did it on the ground. How do I get her to do it in the box? I'm new here... Thanks all!

Congratulations! Put one egg in the laying box. This really helps. I presume the laying box is comfy with straw (or simular) and shady?
If youre chickens are kept in a run the egg in the laying box will do, but be carefull with free ranging. Some chickens like to lay eggs in the wild. Best keep her in untill she has produced an egg in the laying box.

They are so small and tiny too! Do they get bigger with time?

Congratulations on the first (of many eggs)! It's not unusual for the first eggs to be on the smaller side, they will get a bit larger as the hen matures.

    Thanks for joining us!
