MY GOAT IS SICK

I have a goat and I've had him for about 10 months and he's started showing signs of being sick. I haven't done anything different in his regular routine. His symptoms are farting, lying down a lot, and he lifts his tail to poop but nothing comes out. Any advise, cures, or ideas of what it might be would be great. he's only been like this today so far.

It sounds like it might be entertoxemia. Is he getting up and down and maybe stretching? You need to get some clostridium perfingens antitoxin. Give him that and a shot of penicillin. A displaced abomasum will also produce the symptoms you mention. Sometimes rolling the goat will put that right.
