OK I bought a 9 month old African goose from auction sale about a month ago. When I got her (I think her) home I noticed her limping on right side. I figured it was from being in cage and transporting. She eventually got better and quit limping. Today went to check on the flock and noticed her sitting down. We went to her and she will stay standing if you pick her up but as soon as she tries to walk she will fall back down on right side. I also bought two other geese the same day, a pair, one white and real good size, the other smaller and grey and white. She has gotten along with them just fine. I also have chickens in pen with the geese. They all get along and eat together fine. I do have a swimming pool in pen for the ducks and geese. I plan to call vets in area to see if any of them will see her but wanted to see what ya'll thought it could be or what I could do. There are no visible sores or wounds. No swelling as far as i csn tell. I don't think it is bumble foot. They are fed layer crumbles, whole corn, black oil sunflower seeds and chicken scratch along with fruit, vegetable and bread scraps from our kitchen. The kids throw extra grass to them also.

I have been giving her nutri drench daily and giving her water with the nutritional yeast mixed in also daily like the posts have suggested and she is starting to recover. Not sure if it because of the extra stuff or just recovering from an internal injury but she is getting there. Thanks!

Good news, thanks for letting us know the outcome. And well done on saving your goose.
