I think he's a Brown Leghorn, or at least that is what we were told. Either way, I think he's really pretty. He's kind of old too, about ten years. I took a couple pictures of him last time I was over there and thought I'd share. [IMG]

    His name is Kellogg.

He is beautiful! I was looking at those spurs! They are so long....I'll bet they help him defend against predators......Is he friendly?

Quote:He isn't mean, but isn't friendly. He is actually scared to death of being picked up, but doesn't care to be around if you're around feeding/cleaning. He sure does protect his girls though.

Thank you everyone for saying he's handsome and such. I've always loved looking at him. [IMG]

About two years ago he was attacked by something (we think, though no puncture wounds) and turned white. Stayed that way for about a year, but finally got all his pretty colors back. It was weird. [IMG]

Quote:Yeah, during shock it seems like something happens to them.... I got my Cochin and she was a mess, looked very immature even though she was due to lay her first egg. Don't think she had a very good life. And my GSL was attacked by a dog at 6 weeks old. She kinda stopped maturing for a week or so. She was the biggest but suddenly became the smallest.
