My hen laid her first egg 2 days ago

My hen laid her first egg two days ago. I am thinking it was the black sex link because almost a week ago she finally gave the chicken squat (so exciting!!). We found an egg around 8:30pm, it was soft shelled, felt like a mini water balloon. So proud (of one of them.... not totally sure).
Anyway, someone laid 2 days ago, how long must I wait for the next egg?
And what (do you think) will it be like? Normal shelled, soft shelled? Is she still working out the kinks in her reproductive system?

She is working out the kinks to her system. Her body will get the hang of it after a week or so

Congrats on the first egg! In my experience new layers follow up with a second egg within a week of laying the first one and with the first 6-10 eggs anything is possible. From soft shells to double yolks.
