My Hens Like Rain?

Is it normal or safe for my hens to not be bothered by roaming in the outdoor contained part of their coop while it is raining?

It's fine. Mine like to be outside in the rain. They will look like a wet cat - pathetic. But water from the hose is a horrible creature that's going to eat them.

Doesn't bother mine at all. In fact they were out in light hail today.

It rains so seldom here that my chickens don't know what rain is. They wander around looking up thinking "What IS that?!?!?"
