i am really worried. i have 3 flocks of chickens. but they all live together. my top flock is 8 buff orpingtons hens and 1 silver ameraucana rooster. my middle flock is 1 golden laced wyandotte hen and 1 black australorp hen. my bottom flock is 3 rhode island red hens, 2 new hampshire hens, and 1 buff orpington hen.(i used to have 2 buff orpingtons in my small flock) either way my problem is that the buff orpington is at the way bottom of the pecking order. it wouldn't really matter except that she has very few neck feathers. and recently the temperatures have been bottoming out at around 0 Fahrenheit. i was wondering what i could do to help her. she and the rest of the bottom flock is 15 weeks old. and could i feed my little birds Nutrena meatbird feed to help them get some fat for the winter.
