They arrived on the 2:30 pm truck! I'm sooo excited! I ordered 7 and 11 came. So I am guessing the black little guys are my extra roos. Any guesses on what they are? Pic is in my blog in my sig.

Americauna Pullets. The black ones seem to be black sex link roosters. They were the "packing peanuts" that came with my order. LOL

I ordered Barred Rocks from Ideal. They arrived yesterday! I wanted 10 but got 12, extra roos I suppose. But sadly I now only have 11...[IMG] one mysteriously died......

Oh, they are so cute! Congratulations!

I got a couple of Easter Eggers from Ideal this spring, and they are healthy, beautiful birds. They were chipmunk striped, and both grew up to be a wild, partridge color. They look very interesting. One has beard and muffs. They haven't laid yet, so I don't know what color eggs they will lay. But the important thing is, they are healthy and happy.

I hope that your chicks are too!

really sweet chickies..very precious. Still getting familiar with different breeds but IMO I think the pnuts are barred rock. That is what they sent with my first order from them and we kept one and gave the rest away. I had 9 of them...Too many roos. His crow is very laid back and deep and my DD and I thinks he sounds like a hound dog.

I wish I could keep them but sadly, I cannot. They will head to the freezer when they start crowing. So I named them
