my last candling question & then I'll consider myself defeated

My Broody has a single dark Welsummer egg, its day 24. I just candled again & I don't see movement at all, no pulsing, no kicking. But the air space looks bigger & there are shadows of something inside the dark end that I can't make out. I would say the shadows move, but it doesn't seem like a chick that's three days overdue looking to pip.
the egg doesn't stink, its shell is pristine.
just tell it to me like it is.....my egg is no good right?

I just went through the same thing. I candled with the same results. When I bit the bullet and opened the eggs up there was semi developed rotted chicks.

Sorry it wasn't what you wanted to hear. I am just as disappointed about my hatch. Better luck next time I guess:aww
