My little flock go outside for the first time.

I have 2 quail (don't know the breed)
2 Blue Leghorns
1 Light Brahma
1 Wellsummer

They're a little over two weeks old the lot of em' and they got to follow me around outside. The quail get to be carried as they don't quite follow me.
Everyone had fun. The babies almost got blown over with a strong gust of wind but overall did great.

I took them to a little dirt patch under a tree next to a garden I started. There was grass and some broad-leafed weeds for them to hide under and play in.

Fun! I always wonder what they’re thinking when they get to go outside for the first time - life is so much bigger than my brooder!!!

Today 5/10/2020
My two-week-old quail are very comfortable on the living room floor next to a dog bed. I love how they kick their legs out and just lay there all chill.

They have full tummies and are relaxing after having a mealworm desert.

Ours went out today to for first time. Explore coop and small part of the run. They had fun.

I plan on taking them out every other day or whenever the weather is good. Going to take them into long grass next.

Today my babies got a box full of freshly baked dirt to bathe in! Dusty dusty.

The Quail are getting big.
Here is Pinenut. Very sweet baby.

She will let you hold her for five mealworms. A deal if you ask me.
