Just had to share a picture of Bam-Bam my partridge silkie pullet
She's a looker!
Wow, look at all those feathers!
How big is she? She looks huge!
x2!! I love big silkies though. More fluff to cuddle with She is really something else! Looks very different/better than my partridge girl Ida. My Ida is the smallest chicken I have! I have 2 other female silkies, and Ida is tiny compared to them. She also hates human contact. She is so unsilkie like
This is an older picture from a few months ago. I'll post a new picture soon! I'll post some pictures of her brother also
Pebbles; Bam-Bam's brother
Stunning! How can you tell he's a he? Does he crow?
At this point I didn't know. Now that I have more experience with the breed I can tell at an earlier age. Sometimes around 3-4 months, roosters will start to get little streamers on their head...and eventually they'll start to crow. Unfourtunatley with mine...I had to wait till he crowded
If anyone is intrested in silkies, be sure to check out www.tropicalchickies.com, or look for Tropical Chickies on this website.
She is a beauty!
