I've been trying to help this girl. My freind had three & was down to one. I took the girl to add to my flock but she has been having a rough time. Poor thing spends the whole day in the coop the others come in & out of the coop laying eggs . My roo mates her & then leaves. The girl spends her day on the roost by herself while the flock free ranges. What should I do? Will they ev er accept her? She's real freindly with me but probably cause she's lonely are scared I don't know. I really like her but the flock doesn't.

Give her a lil time, unless they are picking at her and causing wounds she eventually will fit in .. good luck

Get her a buddy. The newest chicken is always the lowest in the pecking order. The new chick will boost her up a notch and give her a "we're in this together up against the world" partner to latch on to.

You should always introduce at least 2 new chickens together into a new flock. They join together in solidarity against their foes!
