My 'Memorable' Weekend - Photo essay

I love taking pics but if this keeps up I'm going have look at wearing a diaper while I'm at it!

Saturday morning: I think this is a gopher snake exiting the pool.

Sunday morning: A rat is moving her babies out of the roof, running them down the olive tree, then moving them another location away from the house, I hope! I guess it was a little hot under the tiles. Good.

Monday morning: I think it's the same snake but this time I nearly stood on it - literally! I was checking a nest of baby doves and they were gone. I stepped back and happened to look down - oh my! So that's where the doves went!

I try to be tolerant of the wild things with perhaps roaches being the exception, but rats and snakes....? MMMmmmm.... not so sure...

Believe me when I say that the pool will be thoroughly checked for any critters before I go it!

Yikes. Having seen a picture like that, I will be checking the bathtub carefully, every time from now on. It never occurred to me that you might have a snake in your pool. Maybe not having a pool is a good thing.
