This is probably a stupid question - almost sure it is, but would it be hard for my miniature sussex to father chicks with average to large hens like Rhode Island or Oprington?
And if he did have a chick with the oprington for arguments sake, how dominant would the mothers genes be? ( ie would it be sussex or oprington ) and would all the chicks be miniature?
Thanks, this is my first time actually thinking about it, as ive never had a miniature rooster before :)

A lot depends upon the size of the rooster and his attitude. If he has the will, and he can 'make contact' he can fertilize their eggs. Generally progeny from these matings mature in size somewhere between the size of the parents. Not a stupid question at all.
