My neighbors Peacock

I live out in the country and although I can't see my neighbors they are just over a hill. Well one of my neighbors has a peacock and now that i have chickens -- he has been seen in my yard. is he dangerous to my 18 week old chicks or is he just smelling chicken feed.

your chickens should be fine. we have a peacock living with our bantams and he does peck them sometimes if they get to close but otherwise hes good with them.

My peafowl NEVER miss a thing. Any change made to their area is noticed immediately. He might just be checking out the new additions. I don't consider them dangerous but they will hurt a small chick. Pretty much if the bird can move out of their way it will be fine.

thanks -- i know chicks have great hearing but never thought about the birds in the area. So far the peacock has only been in the lower yard.
