my new chick..UPDATED NEW PICS!!

    I crossed these two chickens

    PARTRIDGE PENDENSCA

    BUFF ORP MIX

    and got this(the light colored chick)

    what color would u call it? and is there a breed name i can give it or is it just considerd a barnyard cross. i crossedt them to c what i would get. kinda a project of mine. i just dont know what to call it

    Anytime you breed two breeds together, it's a mutt unless you purposefully created a sex link or an Easter Egger.... which the chick is neither since the BO cross appears to be orpington/faverolle to me with the comb and light colored legs.

    It won't be an Easter Egger, it's too far removed from any blue egg layer. It probably won't even have a muff, and definitely will not have a pea comb. If it's a female, it'll lay brown eggs.

    I'd say you'll end up with a pretty barnyard red bird.

    Strange... Well, technically it's still an EE because it has a blue egglaying ancestor, but it won't lay colored eggs.
