My new hens
What great pics! Awesome coop and I love the hens!
Marvelous pictures of your hens! Nice looking run and coop, too!
Beautiful chickens, pictures and nice coop!!
Beautiful hens and a to die for coop!
Be forewarned, photographing your chickens becomes addictive! My 11 year old son calls me the chicken paparazzi! LOL
very nice.. how old are the girls?
Great coop and very nice pics!!
Quote:Thanks everyone for the kind comments and welcome, it is very nice to be welcomed and have nice comments.
@ jayne... "the girls" are 19-20 week old 'point of lay' pulletts... well that's what we call them here in Ireland.
They are settling in nicely and I hope to have eggs in the next few weeks. I have 4 red hens (Rhode Island strain)
and 2 Leghorn strains, the LH are not friendly and flighty and would never let me stroke them. I'm enjoying keeping them so far.
There's only one problem with the 'run' and that is I made it too low. I am 6ft 1in tall and every time I'm in the run I come out with a lump on my head
However, I'll soldier on hehe.
Regarding the pics... I am an amateur photographer and take pics as a hobby... Nothing professional.
Thanks again folks.
Very nice pics! How many chickens do you have?
