My babies are about 2 months old, just got them 5 days ago. I didn't know I was going to love them so much! I've never had chickens before, so I guess we're on this journey together....LOL!

I've named three so far and my grandson named one. I chose prissie, dolly, buttercup, and my grandson chose blackberry. That's all so far, but we will choose more names later....They have a personality all there own. haha

How on earth do you tell whose who? Lol. I have two, two week old black australorps and sadly our names are Blackie 1 and Blackie 2 ;-). Yours are much more creative!

Maybe they will have to get some cute little leg bands, each a different color, so they can tell them apart. I have also heard of people painting their chickens claws as a means of telling them apart, but it sounds like nail polish rubs off pretty easily with all the scratching they do. Either that, or they'll just wait for their personalities and other little characteristics to become more apparent.

Have fun with your new flock!

Prissie has a unique personality and a scruffy neck, Dolly is by far the largest of the bunch, Buttercup has the most white around her eyes, and Blackberry is the 2nd largest with more mottled black with white feathers down her chest. My husband said I could put name tags on their ankles, but I think I'll just wait on the personality traits to come out. I've only had them since Tuesday and slowly they are getting used to us. Thanks I love them. They are so funny to watch. [IMG]
