    I got the call from the post office at 7:30.

    I got them all settled in. In the house, it is just to cold out.

    On arrival 1 dead 2 dying.

    An hour later 1 died and the secound not showing any improvement.

    I ordered 12 chicks theay shipped 27.

    I ordered 11 Easter Eggers for my mom's mothers day present from Ideal Poultry.

    and 1 Blue Red Cubalaya roo for me.

    They pack the box with extra males for warmth.

    This is my week one it is so much smaller don't know what breed it is.

    Well, CONGRATS on your new arrivals! Wish I could help ya out on what that little on could be, i have no idea?? Very cute though!! Hang in there little fuzzy!!

    That's a lot of roosters - lots of inspiration for your 365 meal resolution [​IMG] I also use an old laundry tub for my brooder, except its oval shaped instead of round. What are you using for substrate?

    *UPDATE*

    the smallest and weakling yellow chick is purking up now up walking and drinking and eating. Still a lil weak but better.

    I've had success reviving the near dead ones. This time of year the chicks can get too cold, and need to be warmed up. Just cup the chick in your hands and breathe into them. The warmth from your hands and breath should gradually warm the chick up. It's worked for me.
