Hey guys!! I am so excited!!! I just got two little Iser Browns called Henny and Penny, and they should start to lay in about 3 weeks. They are getting on well with my elderly girls;-)(Loupe and Doris) and they are quite tame.
    Anyway, that's all:)

LOL that was quick:p While you're here, should I bother clipping their feathers?

Clipping their wings is good and bad. If they free range, do not clip their wings since they need them to fly away from predators. If they are confined there is really no reason to unless they can fly out of the pen. It's up to you but I don't think you need to.

OK thanks for that. We do have a cat next door that likes to stalk the chooks, and one hen ended up flying over my head while I was collecting eggs. The next day my other one spotted the cat in her coop(they have half he backyard for their coop those spoiled girls:p) and chased the cat over the fence again. Haven't seen the cat since.
Thank you very much !! My camera's loaded with pictures from when I got them the first day:-D

I've got a new problem now. I caught the little ones on a fence on the way into neighbours backyard. I was going to clip there wings so they can't fly back up again, but then they won't be able to escape if a cat stalks them(unless they run). Do you have any advice on that?

Thanks Rachel. I'm loving the new girls:)
