My NEW Light Sussex (with Pics!)

Here are my newest additions--two pairs of Light Sussex from Greenfire Farms! They had a slightly rough trip 2 days from FL to me) but after some rest, a heat lamp, electrolytes and LOTS of food, they are doing better. One of the little guys has an attitude problem but hubby pointed out he may have just been ravenous when I unloaded them...

I'm holding onto my extra rooster until both of my roos mature enough to see which one I want to keep as my breeder...

Thank you! I've always admired Paul's bird! I was sooo happy when I finally got them home & unloaded--and yes, so were they! LOL Hubby wasn't mad (SURPRISINGLY!) Although he kind of shrugged & said, "They look just like Light Brahmas to me."

I'm hoping they get some color back to their combs? They were REALLY pale when they got here and really haven't darkened up (with the exception of one of the cockerels, whose a little more dark then the others...)
