I was afraid to let them in water at first but it is so hot here (98-103) and I felt so sorry for them. I put them out on grass and and put a pan of water in with them and they jumped right in. They had a ball. My husband cut a piece of wire and made a circle pen for them. I move it around to keep them on fresh grass and out of the sun.

That does it. This weekend, I am definitely filling the turtle sandbox with water for my gosling Kate! She's been trying to play in the drinking water......

Here's my adolescent Toulouse gander, Angus, as of yesterday.

Here's what he looked like on June 18th.

Now, see that big, black Jersey Giant in the above photo? Here's the same BJG standing next to Angus yesterday.

No, they don't stay small very long at all!

I know they don't stay small for long. They have doubled in size since I got them on the 7th. I have a pilgrim gander that is 3 1/2 months old and he is big. I got these so he would have a mate. I wanted another pilgrim but I couldn't find one anywhere so I ordered the toulouse.

gryeyes, you have a beautiful gander. Is your gander as sweet as my gander Mikey?
