I will post pictures of her and the nest/eggs tomorrow. She is a BB Red OEGB. She is my favorite hen and my silkie rooster just loves her! But anyways she made a nest under the coop. She has about 8 eggs under there. Do you all think that she will go broody and try to hatch if I leave the eggs???

    Here's the Hen:

probably, games are good brooders. Is the nest in a safe place, no possums at night ect... If so great If not you may want to confine her in a safe place for her to brood, a large dog crate works well. good luck i just saw you were up in hanibal. It will be too cold for her to brood outside. she will be on day and night for 21 days

She is in a coop that's in a pen that's in a barn, and it's all predator proof! That's the great thing. I really hope she hatches some.

So, I forgot to get pictures. I'll get them on by Thursday I hope. But I have another question. She laid an egg in the nestbox instead of laying in her nest with her other eggs. Does that mean anything?
