I have a female Pekin duck. She lays one egg a day. Recently she has had this really heavy breathing.... we mostly notice it when she comes inside from being in the cold. It eventually stops once she drinks some water she still eats drinks and grooms herself. should I be worried about her? What should I do? I thought maybe it was just the fact that her nose was cold?? can anyone please give me some advice?

Is she breathing heavy or panting like dogs do. If panting she's to hot.

When I raised Pekins, I remember them breathing heavy many times because they are a heavy breed of duck. If she is wheezing or has a rattling sound in her chest when she breathes then I'd look into a respiratory problem.
