My Pet Chicken hatchery (MPC)

    Hi everyone! I am trying to decide on a hatchery to buy my chickens from this Spring. I just want some healthy, happy, pet quality laying hens. I can get 25, but 20 is prefferable. What has you experience been with MPC? Thanks! [​IMG]

    They get their chicks thru either Meyer or Welp....can't remember which....they just charge you more for the privilage of being able to order a small number of chicks.

    As someone else already mentioned, they are kind of a middle man. But my experience with them was very positive...small order of 5 chicks.

    I have heard that they get their chicks from Meyer (?). Unlike most other hatcheries though, I haven't heard any horror stories about tons of dead and deformed chicks. Do they have an extra fee for an order of 20? I think they are a good choice. I would love to hear more of peoples' experiences. [​IMG]

    i dont see y it matters if they drop ship or not as long as u get wat your spose to get your good

    I ordered 5 chicks from MPC. 4 brown egg layers and 1 rare. The rare one turned out to be a Exchequer Leghorn which died later on that week due to bodily deformities and refusal to eat or drink. Overall I think they are nice people just not sure about ordering anything other than your standard/popular breeds.
