My Pet Tom Turkey Banjo (Spanish Black)

Hello Fellow Poultry lovers -
I am looking for some turkey advise - I have a Spanish Black turkey named BANJO I adopted locally as a pet that was hand raised. They told me he is was about 2 years old when I got him so he is almost 3 now.

I noticed since this morning he has been acting very lethargic, has no interest in his food or treats like grapes... he has not eaten today yet... He is laying down often... very odd behavior. He is normally up strutting around 24/7... he always gobbles when called. His gobble seems strained and abnormal. He is making what I describe as "gurgling" sounds as if he is swallowing air or burping.... I am so worried about him and confused what I should do. I know this isn't much information but just hoping to get some feed back as to what it could be!

Any possibility of taking him to a veterinarian ? Is he overweight ? @R2elk can you help here ?

I’m not sure that he is overweight... I should weigh him. But if I were guessing would say about 30 pounds.. he’s a big guy. But I also forgot to mention that he hasn’t eaten today yet either... for now I have him in his pen so I can monitor his eating, pooping and drinking...

There is an exotic bird vet an hour away.. but they are extremely pricy and I am hoping he will get better. He is a very mean bird to everyone but me. He won’t let anyone get near him only me.
