My Polish bantams were killed last night!

    I am so upset. We did close the coop early enough and they were gone. They were beautiful. I feel so aweful. Buffy, Macy, Lacy, and Yolanda are gone and it is my fault.

    No matter what you do, no matter how careful you are or how secure your pens/coop are a determined predator will find a way to get in. I know it's a heartbreaker when it happens but you can't blame yourself about it.

    sorry to hear you lost them. but like nn said, it sort of comes with the territory of owning chickens. don't beat yourself up too bad, but do learn from it and take steps to protect your flock better.
