We had to put our 3 year old kitty down today. she had always been kind of sickly and she recently stopped eating and this morning she didn't drink. she seemed to look like she had breathing issues to me. i called the vet yesterday and they were able to see her today. when we got there she was acting more abnormal. the vet tech didn't even check her out like they do at my vet, like her weight and stuff, she immediately took her back to see the vet. they put her on oxygen and they said she had some growth in her lungs and abdomen and she also didn't have much of a heart beat. they took fluid out to see what was going on. she had sticky protein in each growth. they said it was some sort of kitty diesase that they don't have much information on. i can't remember what he said it was called. he said there was no hope for her and she was going to have to be put down (i kind of already thought she might have to be put down before we got there). my mom was in tears. Dip Stick was her kitty who used to be by her side. i was crying to, but the kitty never really liked me, but i still loved her.

that makes 5 deaths for us in 5 months. first was my first duckling i got, then was one of my turtles then my beloved bunny lily then my other turtle and now my kitty.

i'm sorry about the loss of your kitty cat. it sounds like putting her down was the best thing to do for her.

I'm so sorry about your sweet kitten. I feel your sadness...we put my horse to sleep last night (posted it on another thread here) - it was/is so hard.

I hope your memories of her bring you comfort.
