here is a shot of my EE pullet, or so I thought, she has no comb or wattle, but is crowing....I know this is something that happens, but how common is it?
she is about 9 weeks old...the other 2 EE's I have are also crowing, I thought maybe she was mimiking them

She looks like a pullet. I guess we have all heard of heard of this happening occasionally from this forum, but I don't know how rare it is either.

I agree with scratch'n'peck, I think she is a pullet as well. [IMG]

Could it instead be a combless roo?

I hope so, I have been wanting EE's for some time, even ordered them from a country store, low and behold, the hatchery never sent them! I had to pick others, and still managed to find a few locally, 2 ended up being roos, for certain, and the other is this one...she is not even similar to the others, so I hope she is just weird!

Sorry Jody, all 3 are boys. No getting eggs from them. 100% positive.

those neck feathers say rooster to me. my ameracaunas are just now developing their combs, but the roos combs are not that much larger than the hens
