My RIR rooster has a swollen foot

My RIR rooster has a swollen foot. I bought him last fall as a mature rooster and he came out of a pen of mature breding roosters. At first I thought he had gotten hurt in a fight. He seemed to do alright, I bred him to several RIWs and RIRs, hatched out chicks. Over the winter his foot is getting worse. At first I thought it was bumblefoot, but there is no scab or sign of external injury. The other foot might be swollen also, but it is hard to tell. Could he have arthritis. He is a gentle soul and I would hate to loose him.

You could try it anyway, on the theory that he could have it, and this is fairly easy. Good luck!
