In July of this year, I released two of Speedy's babes... Vomonos and Honey. We drove them over a mile away and released them in a macadamia nut orchard. We knew they'd be safe there. Two days ago, I was surprised when I went out to feed Andale, both Vomonos and Honey had found they're way home and were eager to have breakfast! LOL They both let me pick them up easily.. and incredibly, Vomonos has turned into a very handsome, very large Rooster! Hard to imagine that this is the same roo that had much of his neck ripped out by a cat in March!

The curled leg is the one that was broken. It's turned in a bit when he stands, but he seems very comfortable on it, doesn't limp at all.

He is beautiful but I'm curious as to why Vomonos and Honey were released so far from home?
