My rooster has a crooked beak? Can I nail file it?

My rooster is about 6 months and he has a very crooked beak. I put chicken pellets and water to make it soggy in a container and just feed him that. He also eats soggy scraps. I was thinking about trimming his beak with nail files because sometimes it gets stuck in the fence. Is his beak hurting him? And how do I make it less crooked without hurting him? Or should I just leave it and keep feeding him soggy scraps and chicken pellets?

Hm. I think it will be fine if you leave it, unless it is causing him pain.

Posting a pic would help with a prognosis and possible remedy.

Don't have a recent pic of his beak. I would go take a picture but it's night. I will take a pic tomorrow and post it if I remember

    Oh, Oy!! That's severe!!
Not sure that fixing it is possible or a DIY thing.
Have not a clue what to suggest.

Will ask to have this moved to the health forum, maybe someone there will know what to do.

It's probably not a good idea to let him breed.

    Thanks guys.
I have decided to just keep feeding him soggy pellets and yoghurt etc
If it gets worse, I will just have to hand feed him
I collect my chickens eggs because i am wanting to get a bigger coop/pen, so when I do, I will probably have to separate him when I do or find someone who has desexed a rooster before :D
